Good to know
I can smell gas. Who do I call?
Call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 straight away. It's free and open 24 hours. Open doors and windows, don't use light switches or naked flames, and turn the gas off at the meter if you can. Once it's been made safe, ring Mark about the repair.
My boiler has stopped. Is it worth checking anything first?
Check it has power, the thermostat and timer are calling for heat, and the pressure gauge isn't near zero. Write down any fault code on the display. The boiler obs on this site walks you through it and writes the message for you. Don't take the casing off.
Can you come out this evening or at the weekend?
Google lists Boiler Medic as open 8am to 8pm every day, and reviewers describe call-outs on a Saturday evening, a Sunday and a Sunday night. Ring and Mark will tell you when he can get there.
How much will it cost?
Every fault is different, so there are no prices here. Ring and Mark will talk it through. Reviewers often call the price competitive or reasonable, including one weekend call-out fee.
Can I text instead of ringing?
07908 221199 is a mobile, so yes. A text with what the boiler is doing, any fault code and your address helps Mark come prepared.
Boiler not right? Ring Mark.
Tell him what the boiler is doing and any code on the display. If you're not sure, take its obs first and the message writes itself.
